first driving lesson!

lesson started at 11.30am

instructor: where is the brake and accelerator?
me: (points)
instructor: ok this is how u adjust the seats, mirrors etc.

11.35am
swap places. peiying starts to drive on the road outside yio chu kang mrt.

11.36am
peiying has to test the brakes by jamming. peiying almost causes death and destruction.

11.37am
resume driving. drive drive drive.

arnd 11.45am
a bicycle cuts in on the left while i'm turning left and looking out for cars going straight. evil bike.
a while later... the same bike overtakes me.

arnd 12pm
i get to step on the accelerator for the first time!
i also finally go faster than 10km/hr.

arnd12.15pm
i hit 40km/hr! i also get so excited that i forget to look at the lights and almost go over the red lights.
a while later... i overtake 2 cars!

arnd 12.30pm
i turn on my own! like without the instructor saying anything!

1pm
i get horned by another stupid car tt also has L-plates. OEI! OVERTAKE IF U'RE SO GREAT LOR. HMPH.

1.15pm
i move to busier roads! aka the path outside ang mo kio central. where half a million taxis block my way. stupid taxis.

1.30pm
peiying gets out of the car alive. =)
